2gCold sore cream produced by GlaxoSmithKline and clinically proven to prevent cold sores from appearing. If a cold sore appears, it is able to speed the healing process. If you put some Zovirax on when you first feel a tingle on your lip, it can stop a cold sore dead in its tracks.
Apply Zovirax to the affected area 5 times daily roughly every 4 hours (after washing your hands thoroughly).
If you forget a treatment apply some as soon as you remember, then continue as before.
Continue treatment for 5 days.
If your cold sore has not been treated after this time, treatment may be continued for up to a further 5 days.
Do not exceed the stated dose.
Contains Aciclovir (Acyclovir) which prevents the cold sore virus from replicating.
Zovirax Cold Sore Cream contains the antiviral agent aciclovir (5% w/w) in a smooth, white cream containing dimeticone, propylene glycol, poloxamer 407, cetostearyl alcohol, sodium lauryl sulphate, white soft paraffin, liquid paraffin and purified water.
